Ruth Russell is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with over 16 years of legal experience and a proven record of fighting for the rights of her clients across Missouri. A graduate of St. Louis University School of Law, where she finished at the top of her class, Ruth brings exceptional skill, dedication, and depth of legal knowledge to every case she handles.

 

Before entering private practice, Ruth spent a decade as a public defender, where she represented thousands of clients and developed a reputation for her fearless advocacy and sharp courtroom presence. Her years in that role gave her invaluable insight into the criminal justice system—and a steadfast commitment to ensuring that every client receives a fair defense.

 

Following her public service, Ruth spent six years practicing civil litigation, broadening her experience in negotiation, trial strategy, and complex case management. Today, she focuses exclusively on criminal defense, handling cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies in courts throughout the state of Missouri.
